Let’s get one thing straight: The Social Scene didn’t come to life because someone wrote a ten-page business plan or because we dreamed of building a “marketing empire.” Nope. This whole thing started in 2021 when people kept asking Charlie and Megan for help with their social media. The need was there, the spark was lit, and the attitude was basically, “why not? Let’s give it a shot.”
Fast forward, and here we are. A team of nine wildcards with roots stretching from Canada and the U.S. to Venezuela, Argentina, and the Czech Republic, now calling Guanacaste, Costa Rica home. (Yes, we still pinch ourselves daily.) We’re all different… different ages, backgrounds, and values. But we intersect where it counts: freedom of time, creativity, and the thrill of building something that matters.
We’re not your cookie-cutter agency that pumps out graphics on autopilot. We’re free spirits, equal parts strategic and a little relentless. We love a challenge. We’ll always give it our best shot, even if sometimes that means faking it till we make it. Though lately? It feels like we’re actually making it.
The Social Scene is built on values that reflect who we are: women-owned, sustainability-minded, obsessed with branding, fashion and aesthetics, and passionate about creating work that doesn’t just look good but feels good. We’re here for the brands that care about more than selling stuff; they care about people, community, culture and planet.
Sure, we manage accounts. But we also shoot content at sunrise, edit reels till midnight, brainstorm strategies over too much coffee, and occasionally stage “just for fun” shoots because practicing, experimenting, and leveling up together is half the excitement.
We collaborate. We create. We get together for no reason at all except that it feels good. The art of getting better at something is addictive to us and when you’re surrounded by people who push you, inspire you, and hype you up, you can’t help but want to go further.
At the heart of it, The Social Scene isn’t just about social media. It’s about building a community of creatives - photographers, videographers, copywriters, models, designers - who want to try new things, learn, grow, and feel supported while doing it. It’s about giving people (and ourselves) the freedom to chase financial independence, creative passion, and time to actually live.
We care about creating an environment where collaboration thrives, where bold ideas don’t just sit in the “what if” pile, and where every win, big or small, feels like a team win.
What started as two women saying “yes” to a few over trusting friends has turned into something much bigger. Now we’re building more than an agency, we’re building a space where creativity, adventure, and freedom collide.
If you’re here reading this, welcome. Pull up a beach chair. This is just the beginning, and we’re glad you’re along for the ride.

We're not your cookie-cutter agency that pumps out graphics on autopilot. We're free spirits, equal parts strategic and a little relentless. We love a challenge. We'll always give it our best shot, even if sometimes that means faking it till we make it. Though lately? It feels like we're actually making it.
The Social Scene is built on values that reflect who we are: women-owned, sustainability-minded, obsessed with branding, fashion and aesthetics, and passionate about creating work that doesn't just look good but feels good. And honestly? That's not just a tagline — it's a filter. It shapes who we work with, what we say yes to, and what we politely decline. We've walked away from projects that didn't align with who we are, and we'd do it again without hesitation. Because when you're putting your name on something, it should actually mean something.
That's the thing about building a creative agency from a place of genuine passion — people feel it. In the content creation. In the strategy. In the little details nobody asked you to obsess over but you did anyway, because that's just how you're wired. We care deeply, and we think that shows.

Sure, we manage accounts. But we also shoot content at sunrise, edit reels till midnight, brainstorm strategies over too much coffee, and occasionally stage "just for fun" shoots because practicing, experimenting, and leveling up together is half the excitement.

That's the energy behind every brand campaign we produce, every content strategy we build, every reel we lose sleep over. It's not just work — it's a lifestyle we chose, and we show up for it fully. Some days that looks polished and professional. Other days it looks like six people crammed around a laptop debating a caption for forty-five minutes. Both are equally us.
And the truth is, that obsession is exactly what our clients get. When you work with The Social Scene, you're not getting a team that clocks out at five. You're getting people who are genuinely excited about what they're making — and that excitement is contagious. It ends up in the content. Every single time.

Because when you build something with the right people, it stops feeling like hustle and starts feeling like momentum. We've watched members of our creative network land their first paid shoots, grow their personal brands, and build careers they actually love — and that matters to us just as much as any client deliverable.
This is what a creative agency in Costa Rica looks like when it's built on people first. Not just a roster of talent, but a real community — one that shows up for each other, shares knowledge freely, and genuinely celebrates each other's growth. That's the scene we're building. And there's always room for more.

What started as two women saying "yes" to a few over-trusting friends has turned into something much bigger. Now we're building more than an agency — we're building a space where creativity, adventure, and freedom collide.

We're growing — intentionally, excitedly, and on our own terms. New faces joining the creative network, new clients who get it, new ideas that keep us up at night in the best possible way. Guanacaste gave us the backdrop, but the people are what made it real.
So whether you're a brand looking for content creation that actually converts, a creative ready to plug into something bigger, or just someone who stumbled across us and felt something — you're in the right place. The Social Scene is just getting started, and trust us, you don't want to miss what's next.
We've got big plans. More workshops, more collaborations, more moments that make you think "I can't believe this is my job." We're building out programs for creatives at every level, deepening our roots in the community, and continuing to say yes to the projects that scare us a little — because that's always where the best stuff happens. That's the scene, let's create together!
We connect talented creatives with the work they love — and we're always looking for fresh faces to grow our network in Costa Rica.
